Dr. Nicole Leshaw

Dr. Nicole Leshaw works at Ascent Chiropractic in Normandy Park, Washington. She graduated in the top of her class from Los Angeles College of Chiropractic in 2014 and brings with her experience in: full spine adjusting, soft tissue and sports rehabilitation, and functional taping. Dr. Leshaw has a unique connection to chiropractic. After multiple car accidents, sports injuries, and systemic health issues, she has never been healthier:

“Chiropractic gave me my life back in more ways than one. It enabled me to live an active and energetic lifestyle again. I chose to become a chiropractor because I do not want anyone to feel as hopeless as I did. I want to pay it forward.”

Dr. Leshaw incorporates not only the adjustment into patient care but also myofascial work and exercise, with the goal of balancing each individual’s body to improve form and function. Her life as an athlete enables her to understand how the body moves and how all parts relate to each other resulting in a biomechanical approach to all care. Her experiences with multiple motor vehicle collisions and the injuries associated with each impact give her the ability to understand the pain her patients endure. These aspects are also what motivated her to complete over 100 hours of postgraduate education in the Certified Chiropractic Sports Physicians® program and over 50 hours of postgraduate education in the Advanced Whiplash Biomechanics and Injury Traumatology program. Educating the patients and helping them to understand their bodies better is a priority. Dr. Leshaw believes patient care is a team effort and patient involvement is a vital part of the equation.
